Jong-Eun Lee is a full professor of Economics at Sejong University.

 

Her major academic interests are macroeconomics, geopolitics, international finance. Her recent publications are as follows.

 

Another reason for non-neutrality of financial liquidity (2019), Geopolitical Risks in the Post-Cold War Era: ‘Make America Great Again’ can be ‘Make the World Great Again’, (forthcoming), The World Stock Markets under Geopolitical Risks : Dependence structure (2019), The Basel III through the Prism of Velocity (2016), Exchange Rate Dynamics with Foreign Reserves: Revisiting the Dornbusch Overshooting Model, (2016), Global Liquidity through the lens of Monetary Aggregates (2015), and many more.

 

After graduating from the Division of Economics, Seoul National University, she finished her Ms.c. degree of Economics at London School of Economics, University of London, and her Ph.D. degree of Economics, at Queen Mary and Westfield College, University of London.


In all community services, she gives her opinions at various committees without an evasive answer. 
She has been serving as a consultant to a number of ministries of the Korean government, academic associations, private sectors, and the OECD Secretariat.

  

Also, she has received the Research prize in 2007, 2011, and 2013, and the Best teacher prize in 2005 and 2008.

 

From time to time, she holds a piano recital and performs with an orchestra, enjoying various sports, supporting animal rescue activity.

 

She believes that humans are honorable because they pursue the truth, which can be naturally realized under free democracy and free and fair market economy.
