Hae Kwang Kim received the B.E. degree in Electronics Engineering from Hanyang University, Korea, in 1986 and the D.E.A. and Ph.D. degree in computer science from Paul Sabatier University, France, in 1994 and 1997, respectively. He is currently full professor at department of computer engineering, Sejong University. He had worked with Samsung Electronics R&D center from 1986 to 1991 after his bachelor degree in the development of CD-ROM devices and multimedia software. After obtaining Ph.D., he worked with Hyundai Electronics from 1997 to 2000 for researching in MPEG international standard technologies such as MPEG-4 video coding, MPEG-4 system, MPEG-7 multimedia retrieval, MPEG-21 DIA and HEVC video coding. He joined to the faculty of the department of Computer Engineering, Sejong University, Korea in 2000 and has been working on research issues such as image and video retrieval, video coding, audio and graphics content adaptation and computer vision.
