International Outbound Exchange Student Program for Spring 2022

7+1! 7학기는 세종대에서, 1학기는 해외에서!

I. 모집 일정

※ 아래 일정은 변동 가능하며, 변경사항 발생 시 별도 공지 예정임.

- 2021년 4월 5일(월), 4월 14일(수): 교환학생 모집 설명회

- 2021년 5월 3일(월) - 5월 14일(금), 오후 5시: 온라인 접수(2주)

- 2021년 5월 19일(수): 정규모집 면접일정 공지

- 2021년 5월 24일(월) ~ 5월 28일(금): 정규모집 면접전형 시행

- 2021년 6월 4일(월): 정규모집 후보자 발표

II. 2022학년도 봄학기 주요사항

​

1. 미국.유럽지역 및 아시아지역을 통합하여 1회만 선발하고, 최대 5개 대학까지 지원이 가능합니다. 선발기준은 GPA (40%) + 공인어학성적 (40%) + 서류 및 면접 (20%) + 가산점 (해당자만)입니다.

2. 가산점은 평가점수 100점 만점에 추가 점수를 받을 수 있는 제도입니다. Sejong Honors Program, 입학장학금(4년), 군장학생(항공시스템공학과,국방시스템공학과) 해당자는 3점, Sejong Global Buddy, 총학생회 간부 해당자는 2점을 가산점으로 받게 됩니다. 가산점 적용 항목이 다수일 경우 최대 3점까지만 인정됩니다.

3. 일부 대학의 파견대학별 최소 어학점수 조건이 변경되었으니 확인 바랍니다.

4. 중국 Changchun University of Science & Technology, Yanbian University of Science & Technology, 대만 Dayeh University, Feng Chia University, 홍콩 Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong Baptist University 는 중국 국적 학생들도 지원하여 본과 과목을 수강할 수 있습니다.

5. 해외파견학생 선발자 중 단과대별 우수학생을 대상으로 한 학기 등록금 전액 및 학업보조비 200만원의 장학혜택이 주어지는 Global Excellence Program 을 운영합니다.

II. Important Notes for Spring 2022

​

1. Students are allowed to apply for international outbound exchange program only one time regardless of region and select up to 5 universities when applying. Screening criteria is GPA (40%) + Official Language Test score (40%) + Document & Interview (20%) + Additional points (if applicable).

2. The additional points will be given to those students listed below. In case there are several items that apply to you, it will be recognized only up to three (3) points in total.

- Three (3) points: Sejong Honors Program, 4-year Admission Scholarship, and Military Scholarship students

- Two (2) points: Sejong Global Buddy, and Student Council Executive students

3. The minimum language requirement of some universities changes. Please refer to the table below for details.

4. Chinese student can apply for exchange program at Changchun University of Science & Technology, Yanbian University of Science & Technology in China, Dayeh University, and Feng Chia University in Taiwan, and Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong Baptist University in Hong Kong.

5. We have the Global Excellence Scholarship Program which provides with full tuition waiver for one (1) semester and 2,000,000KRW of living allowance for 2022 spring outbound exchange students.

IV. 프로그램 종류

​

> 교환학생: 본교 등록금 100% 납부, 상대교 등록금 전액 면제

- 지역전문가: 본교 등록금 50% 납부(국제교류장학금 50% 감면), 상대교 등록금 전액 면제

- Global Excellence Scholarship Program: 본교 등록금 전액 면제, 상대교 등록금 전액 면제, 200만원 생활비 지원

> 방문학생: 본교 등록금 30% 납부(국제교류장학금 70% 감면), 상대교 등록금 100% 납부

> 복수학위: 본교 등록금 30% 납부(국제교류장학금 70% 감면), 상대교 등록금 100% 납부, 상대교에 3학년으로 편입하여 세종대와 상대교 모두 학위 취득

※ 개설전공에 "어학연수과정"이라고 표시된 학교는 어학조건이 명시되어 있지 않은 경우 어학성적 없이도 "어학연수 과정"으로 교환학생 또는 방문학생 지원이 가능함.

※ 모집가능 인원 및 기타 지원자격 조건 등은 상대교의 요청에 의해 추후 변동 가능함.

※ 파견학생 최종 선발권은 상대교에 있음.

IV. Program Types

​

> Exchange Student: Pay full tuition to home university; tuition to partner university is fully waived

- Regional Expert: Pay 50% of tuition to home university (50% waived as scholarship); tuition to partner university is fully waived

- Global Excellence Scholarship Program: Tuition to both home university and partner university for one (1) semester is fully waived and 2,000,000KRW of living allowance is given.

> Visiting Student: Pay 30% of tuition to home university (70% waived as scholarship); pay full tuition to partner university

> Dual Degree: Pay 30% of tuition to home university (70% waived as scholarship); pay full tuition to partner university; students to transfer to third year of the partner school's undergraduate program to earn a degree from both universities

※ For schools that offer a "Language Course," you may participate in the program as an Exchange or Visiting Student majoring in language training.

※ The Number of Students and/or Language Requirements, etc. are subject to change.

※ Partner university has the authority to accept the shortlisted candidate as an exchange student for their exchange program.

V. 지원자격

​

가. 본교 재학생 및 휴학생 (1학년 1학기 재학생 지원 가능)

※ 편입생의 경우 본교 1학기 재학 중인 자도 지원 가능

※ 휴학생 지원 가능. 단, 파견학기에는 등록해야 함

※ 마지막 학기(졸업직전 학기)는 반드시 세종대에서 수학을 해야 함

나. 지원 시점 평점평균(GPA) 제한 없음. 단 2022-1학기 종료시 미국, 유럽 지원자는 평점 3.0 아시아 지원자는 평점 2.5 이상이어야 함)

다. 지원 대학별 어학조건을 충족하는 자 (대부분의 유럽 대학이 700점 이상, 아시아 대학이 600점 이상의 TOEIC 점수를 요구함. 대학별 정확한 어학조건은 아래 표를 확인 바람.)

라. 학칙에 의해 징계 받은 사실이 없는 자

마. 해외여행에 결격사유(비자발급조건 등)가 없으며, 면접시까지 여권발급이 가능한 자

바. 일본파견 학생의 경우, 파견 전 교내 일본어교육에 참여하여 일정 수준 달성이 가능한 자

사. 지원할 시점에는 성적조회화면 스크린캡처 제출도 가능 (면접시까지 성적표 제출)

V. Eligibilities

​

A. A Sejong University student (Anyone currently in his/her first semester is also allowed to apply for this program)

※ For transfer students – you can apply for this program although it is your first semester at Sejong University.

※ You can still apply even if you are on a leave of absence at the point of application. However, you must be an enrolled student for the participating semester.

※ You must complete the last semester (immediate before graduation) at Sejong University.

B. Student whose GPA (including the 2021 spring semester's one) is 3.0/4.5 or higher (in case of applying for university in Asian countries, 2.5/4.5 is acceptable.)

C. Student who meets the language requirement of each university (TOEIC minimum score is mostly 700 for European universities and 600 for Asian universities. Please check the exact requirement of each university below.)

D. No record of being disciplined under the university rules.

E. No disqualifying reason for international travel (conditions for visa application); must be able to obtain a passport by the time of the interview.

F. If you are applying to a school in Japan, you need to be able to participate in the Japanese language classes offered by Sejong International Office, and also should reach a certain level of Japanese language ability before you leave.

G. A printout of the screenshot showing your test score is acceptable at the time of application, but you should submit the origianl report by the time of interview.

VI. 국제교류장학금

※ 성적장학금과 중복수혜 가능. 단, 총 수혜금액은 등록금을 초과할 수 없음. 초과학기자는 수혜 불가

​

1. 지역전문가 장학금: 베트남, 인도네시아, 인도, 필리핀으로 파견되는 교환학생에게 세종대 등록금 50%을 감면(상대교 등록금 전액 면제)해 주는 제도.

2. 방문학생 장학금: 세종대와 해외대학 양쪽에 납부해야 하는 방문학생들의 학비 부담을 덜어주기 위해 세종대 등록금 70%을 감면해 주는 제도

VI. Scholarship Programs for Outbound Students>

※ You may receive this in addition to your merit-based scholarship. However, the total amount received may not exceed the amount of the tuition fee. You are not eligible if you are participating in the study abroad program at your excess semester (9th or more).

​

1. Regional expert student scholarship:Sejong University applies a 50% waiver to the amount due to Sejong for the exchange students who study in Vietnam, Indonesia, India and Philippines.

2. Visiting student scholarship: Visiting student is required to pay tuition fees to both universities. In order to make it more affordable, Sejong University applies a 70% waiver to the amount due to Sejong.

VII. Global Excellence 장학금

※ 초과학기자는 수혜 불가

​

> 내용: 교환학생을 희망하는 학생 중 단과대별 최우수 학생을 선발하여 전폭적으로 지원하는 프로그램

> 혜택: 1개 학기 등록금 전액(등록금 범위 내 지급) + 학업보조비 200만원(등록금 초과수혜 가능) 지급

> 선발인원: 단과대별 2명 (단, 공과대학은 4명)

> 지원자격: 내/외국인 모두 지원 가능함.

1. 평점평균 3.5 이상인 자

2. 아래 공인어학성적 이상인 자

- 미국대학, 유럽대학, 아시아권 영어사용대학: TOEFL IBT 71 또는 IELTS 5.5

- 중국, 홍콩, 대만 등 중국어 사용대학: HSK 4급

- 일본대학: JLPT N3

3. 대외협력처 각종 프로그램 중도포기가 없었던 자

4. 요코하마 및 디즈니 프로그램 참가자를 제외한 기 파견 경험자는 후순위 선발

5. 재학기간 중 1회만 선발

6. Erasmus+, Asem-Duo, Jasso, 미래에셋장학금 등 타 교환학생 장학금과는 중복수혜 불가

> 지원방법: 2022 봄학기 해외파견학생 온라인 지원 시 'Global Excellence Scholarship' 에 V 표시

> 제출서류: 해외파견학생 온라인 지원 시 기본 제출서류와 함께 아래 서류도 함께 업로드

1. Statement of Purpose (자유양식, A4 2매 이상, 파견국가의 수업언어로 작성)

2. 소속학과 교수 추천서 (별첨양식)

> 선발기준: 해외파견학생 선발기준과 동일함 - GPA(40%)+공인어학성적(40%)+면접(20%)+가산점(해당자만)

> 의무: 파견 종료 후 대외협력처에서 진행하는 파견학생 간담회, 오리엔테이션, 멘토링 프로그램 등에서 10시간 이상 봉사

VII. Global Excellence Scholarship Program>

※ You are not eligible if you are participating in the study abroad program at your excess semester (9th or more).

​

> Purpose: To support the future global leaders and promote the international interactions by providing the study abroad opportunities.

> Benefits: Full tuition waiver for 1 (one) semester and 2,000,000KRW as living allowance

> Quota: 2 (two) students per college other than engineering / 4 (four) students for engineering college

> Qualifications: Both Korean and international student are allowed to apply for

1. GPA 3.5 or higher

2. Official langauge test score stated below or higher

- Universities in USA & Europe, or Asian universities that provide English track programs: TOEFL IBT 71 or IELTS 5.5

- Universities in China, Hongkong, and Taiwan: HSK level 4

- Universities in Japan: JLPT N3

3. Student who has ever withdrawn any programs run by Sejong international office before is disqualified.

4. Student who has ever been selected for GE program before is not eligible for it.

5. Student who receive any fundings related to study abroad program such as Erasmus+, Asem-Duo, Jasso, and Mirae Asset is not eligible for it.

> How to apply: To check V in the box of 'Global Excellence Scholarship Program' when you apply online for the outbound exchange student program for Fall 2021

> Required documents: To upload the documents stated below while applying online for the outbound exchange student program

1. Statement of Purpose (free form, A4 2 pages or more, should be written in the language you will study at host university)

2. Letter of Recommendation by your department professor (attached form)

> Screening criteria: GPA (40%) + Official language test score (40%) + Document & Interview (20%) + Additional Points (if applicable)

> Obligation: GE awardee should do at least 10 hours of volunteer work assigned by International Office upon completion of the outbound exchange program.

VIII. 온라인 지원방법

​

★포털사이트 로그인 (portal.sejong.ac.kr) → 일반행정정보 → 메뉴이동(학생서비스) → 국제교류 → 파견학생관리 →파견지원서 작성

※ 학사정보에 있는 영문 성명(여권과 동일하게), 연락처, 이메일 주소 등을 반드시 최신 정보로 업데이트 한 후 지원하기 바랍니다.

※ 온라인 신청시 본인이 지원한 대학 및 프로그램(교환, 방문, 정규과정, 어학과정 등)이 정확하게 입력되었는지 반드시 확인하기 바랍니다. (지원기간 종료 후 대학 및 프로그램 변경 불가능)

※ 온라인 신청시 반드시 첨부의 영문 학업계획서(영미, 유럽 지원자만 해당) 1부, 국문 학원계획서(아시아권 지원자만 해당) 서약서, 개인정보제공및활용동의서, 공인어학성적증명서(해당자 한정), 코로나 관련 서약서를 업로드 해야 합니다.

VIII. How to apply online

​

★ Go to: portal.sejong.ac.kr and sign in → General Administrative Information → Page opens in a new tab (Student Service) → International Exchange → Outbound Student Management → Fill out the application form

※ Be sure to update your English name (same as in your passport), mobile phone number and email address in the student information.

※ Be sure to choose right university and program type (exchange, visiting, regular course, language course, etc.). The university and program type are unchageable after the due date for online application.

※ When you apply online, be sure to upload your study plan, letter of oath, agreement of use of personal information form, official language test score letter of oath regarding COVID-19.

IX. 학점인정

​

가. 학기당 최소 6학점, 최대 18학점까지 수강 가능함.

나. 해외 교류 학점은 모두 P/NP로 인정됨 (복수학위의 프로그램은 예외)

다. 수학 후 수업계획서 등 증빙자료를 바탕으로 학과장 승인 하에 최대 18학점까지 전공학점으로 인정받을 수 있음. 단, 전필의 경우 학과장 확인 후 학적과의 최종승인을 받은 경우에 한 해 제한적으로 인정됨. 전공학점 이외는 교양학점으로 인정됨.

IX. Credit Recognition

​

A. Student is allowed to take courses of 6 to 18 credits for one semester.

B. All overseas exchange credits will be recognized as P/N (except for the dual-degree program).

C. The head professor of the student’s department will review the course syllabus, etc. and give approval for credits for major courses up to 18 credits. For the required major course, it should be finally approved by the Office of Registrar. Others than major courses will be recognized as credits for liberal art.
